① Different の前には I'm の省略。「人々は私のことを静かだと思うかもしれない。私は違っていると。」
② That の前に They might think を補って読む。fit the box of ～＝「～という枠に収まる」。what S should be の what は関係代名詞＝「Sがあるべき姿」 cf. what S is「現在のS」、what Swas/used to be「かつてのS」 （オリンピアンとはこうあるべきだ、という枠にはまらないと。）
③ I’m proof that 〜＝「私が～という証拠です」。that は名詞節を導き、proof の内容を説明する同格節。（けれど、定義は人が思うよりも広いのだという、その証拠が私だ。）
⑤ ones は不定代名詞で 前出の girls を受ける。The ones の前には I want to inspire が省略されている。that は 関係代名詞で、内部に some people think (that) を含む「連鎖関係代名詞節」。「一部の人に『違いすぎる』『静かすぎる』『何かが過ぎる』と思われている子たちに（勇気を与えたい）。」
⑥ that expectation of ～＝「そうした～という期待」。what S be supposed to be は what S should be の言い換え。ここも people think 含む連鎖関係代名詞節。good の前には that's の省略。that は直前の if 節の内容を指す。「そして、もし私たちが「こうであるべき」と人々が思う期待に合わないなら、それでいい！」
⑦ That は直前の文の内容を指す。means の後ろには接続詞 that の省略。the ones ＝ the girls。get to do＝「（困難な中で何とか）〜することができる、～する機会を得る」。it は この場面での話題の中心を漠然と受ける it。人々が女の子に対して抱く 枠（ box）や 期待（expectation）を受けている。（それはつまり、私たちこそがそれを変える存在だということだから。）
